So few of us are fully prepared for an emergency. Partly, because we put it off, partly because of the expense. Brita can make it easy. They can make an affordable, easy to use, self-enclosed emergency water filtration system that we can buy at the grocery store and throw in our emergency supplies.
This would be Brita doing "good" for us, by making our emergency products accessible. A brand we love. A brand we can trust . . even when our lives depend on it.

I have the every Day Pitcher, is what support at Brita told me and my idea is to make a flap for the spout to keep out dust and dirt when it is sitting on the counter. Brita made a very tight cover for the unfiltered water that to me doesn't make any difference, because it is going to get filtered into the lower section, but the spout has NO cover at all and dust and dirt (which I have a lot of here in the Arizona desert) that comes through the window screens can contaminate the filtered water. I think that some of the models have them, but everyone of them should have a spout cover in he name of health. That's my suggestion, and I think it is a good one, as I don't know anyone that wants to drink or prepare food with dirty water. Have a Great Day and thanks for your time. Good hydration is extremely important for a healthy pregnancy and postpartum period. Water flushes waste products from the cells and aids in liver and kidney function for both mom and the baby. During pregnancy, water is also needed for the body's expansion as mom's blood volume increases significantly. Insufficient water intake can be a factor in constipation, preterm labor, and miscarriage, and even slight dehydration can cause or contribute to fatigue. Proper hydration is also important for adequate breast milk production and flow. 6 million babies being born every year.

My idea would be a water thermos for my car, made by Britta, w/a tiny water filtering system within, so anytime I am out and about I would be able to fill the thermos and be assured that the water would be safe. The thermos could come with disposable insert filters that would screw into the bottom. I often have to forgo drinking water because I am unsure of its safety. A Britta water bottle would put my mind at ease.

My Mom is 92 and loves her Brita filter pitcher. It is too heavy for her these days. The refigerator storage box type needs to be removed to be filled. My idea is that from the solid lid there were a pull out funnel and a brightly colored pop-up indicator showing a full tank. This type of system, with a capped funnel, would allow the use of the existing tank and filter system . The development would be limited to a new lip with funnel and pop-up filler alarm. Silicon would be a durablmanye material that would provide years of use and the sale of witch is how I believe you make your money. The filler alarm could be made with a simple folation system. I hope this wins me the $1,000 bucks and leads to the product being developed.
