Idea posted May 3, 2013 by Geoff
Allow me, in conjunction with a current major customer, to place a large order for your discontinued red and yellow SOS Tuffy, or license me to make it.

I want to BUY something from Clorox,...I'm not trying to SELL Clorox anything.

Since last Fall I have been trying unsuccessfully to have someone in SOS Production, Finance, or Marketing contact me regarding the possibility of my manufacturing, under an agreeement you deem acceptable, the red and yellow SOS Tuffy Clorox no longer manufactures.  Alternately, I'd like to place with you a substantial order for this product that you would make for me in a one-time production run.   A third option would be to advise where I might be able to purchase a large quantity of the unused product that mey still exist in a warehouse you know about...... that I can't seem to locate.

So far I have only been able to discuss this concept with Clorox/SOSSales staff.  They seem only to want me to purchase the current blue product that is not the same in quality...and I'm not interested in doing that.

Are you able to have an SOS Product Manager, or someone in one of the above three departments, contact me to discuss with me what I am proposing?   Any assistance you can provide will be appreciated.

    SOS Cleaning and helping hands...

    SOS Cleaning and helping hands...

I've been using SOS pads for as long as I can remember (since the 1st time my mother enlisted me in cleaning the house....MANY years ago).  I can't think of using another product for cleaning the stove, oven, bbq, and many other projects.  As much as it is perfect, what about making the pad "hand and finger/nail" friendly.  Maybe soften the scouring "metal", or something.  I know the scouring pad and the cleaning product are essential, but WOW, if I don't use gloves, my hands are a mess.  Just a thought.....

    S.O.S. Tip

Cleaning with an S.O.S. Pad is easy and efficent, but getting those hard to reach areas is tough with souch a big product. My idea is to make an S.O.S. pad the size and shape of a Q-Tip, that way you could get all the tight spots that you need to clean.

    Shiny Stainless1

    Shiny Stainless

If you have a stainless steel sink that is tarnished or has water spots, even those with major build up...an S.O.S. pad and a little (make that a lot) of elbow grease can make it like new. First, soak paper towels in vinegar and leave on stained areas as long as possible, then discard. Rinse well...very well, with plain water. Have an old margarine container or something like it to dispose of used S.O.S. pad handy. It is a good idea to wear plastic gloves to protect your hands. Wet one end of pad and start scrubbing, one section at a time, a six inch area is a good size to start with. Rinse, repeat...be amazed!

    S.O.S1

    S.O.S

I have used S.O. S. Pads all the 51 years I have been marrieed - learned from my Mother , she thought she couldn't live without her S. O. S. Pads ! Just one of the ways I like to use them is on my Dog's Water bowl . I use the Metal ones and the Water build up Scum gets really bad after awhile .  A S.O.S pad does wonders to remove the Scum and the Bowl looks all shiny and new again!

I actually learned this trick from my mother-in-law. I use SOS Steel Wool Pads to clean the bottom of my pots and pans. They look like new again!

I have always loved S.O.S. pads. I have seemed to use them when all else fails! Little did I know there were additional S.O.S. products. Where have I been!?!
