Dear Clorox Customer Service:
For a long time now I've wondered why my Clorox bottle has this tiny little cap, while my other laundry products all have a measuring cup/cap attached to the bottle for easier measuring and dispensing of their product. So my question is: Why doesn't Clorox offer their bleach with a measuring cap?
It's a great idea because it allows precise measurement of the product used for each load, and it creates more pouring control to eliminate drips, spills and splashback. I have a front loading machine on a pedestal which makes my bleach dispenser at approximately eye level, which makes eye safety is a concern.
It solves the problem of wasted product, the problem of bleach stains on clothing in the surrounding area from drips and spills, and burns of the skin or eyes from spashback.
Currently I try to stand back and pour carefully, but with a full 3 quart jug that is difficult. Sometimes I use an empty detergent cap to measure out the Clorox. Frankly, it would just be simpler if, as a service to your customers and as a safety feature, you would just provide the measuring cap on the bottle.
I don't have a photo or drawing of my invention, but if you look at your Clorox II cap you will get the idea.
Thanks for listening!
Hi,
I would love to see Clorox have a lid that I can measure my bleach with. Since I already have this available with my laundry detergent I don't keep a separate measuring cup in the laundry room. Alternately, if the jug had a clear strip on the side with tick marks per 1/2 cup I would be able to gague how much bleach I am using.
thanks
