Hi Bella - you will likely get a lot of posts like this one. I know of a number of companies and people who have expertise in the encapsulation area so it would be helpful if you could expand on what you need. What are the materials you would like encapsulated and do you want the encapsulation to be temporary, permanent, porous, soluble, etc.? What size solids are you looking to coat and what thickness of coating? Any restrictions on chemistry that you can disclose? Please feel free to contact me privately at kablakely@gmail.com if you would like to discuss the various options and approaches that might make sense. My phone is 716-818-5500. Thanks. Michael - As a founder of several advanced materials companies, I was intrigued by the article. You are probably aware that there are numerous companies already working in the clay/polymer composite area with products that claim to enhance strength, reduce gas permeability, and can alter numerous other properties. Of course, the challenge is always to create the ideal "mix" of desired properties while avoiding the negative ones and keeping the economics in line with existing materials. If you have a specific set of properties for a particular polymeric system that you are seeking, I would be happy to recommend companies and approaches that might work for you.
