    Title of Your Idea:
    Odor Absorbtion
    What's Your Idea?:

Although I love Kingsford charcoal for my grilling activities, I also learned another way to enjoy charcoal. About 8 years ago I moved into a fairy new house complete with appliances, slightly used. For some reason the refrigerator had an terribly obnoxious smell that I couldn't identify or find anything it could be coming from. I tried absoltely every cleaner somone suggested to me.  I took the back panel off and searched everywhere to no avail. I heard somewhere that charcoal would take out odors, but was skeptical about this odor. I tried putting charcoal in and into the bottom of my refrigerator and the smell went away...Thanks Kingsford!!

Yes into the interior of the fridge on a styrofoam bowl and into the back, underneath the back panel, worked wonders!

Do you need to exchange charcoals after some periods of time?  Thank you so much for your feedback!

At the time we hadn't moved in and I changed it out while the men were doing the new paint and carpet cleaning, after about two weeks and then removed them when we moved in...we've never had to repeat the process, thanks!

Thank you for quick feedback.  How long has it been since you last changed the charcoals?  It would be a good point of reference to most of us.  Thank you so much for sharing the info.

the charcoals are gone now and have been for 8 years, after the 2 week period, I changed them one time, removed them after about two more weeks and we're odor-free since then...great product!

Oh I see, so only need about two weeks to get rid of odor with charcoals.  Got it.  Thank you for clarification!
