Glad I would like to see a lettuce storage container that a whole head of lettuce can be placed I into after being cleaned! More of a " V " shaped container. With a dome type lid that would fit the top of the lettuce head! I have seen something similar many years ago but have since not been able to find anything close to what I am looking for. I would also make a disc at the base with a stake that could be poked into the lettuce core to keep it standing up and help keep it fresher longer! :-) Did you know that if you leave the core attached to your lettuce it won't brown or rotten nearly as fast? Thanks Glad!

Thanks for sharing a great idea! Thanks for the tip on leaving the core to be attached to the lettuce to keep it fresh too. Quick question, why do you envision the container to be "V" shape? Wouldn't round shape dome fit better? Moreover, how much lettuce do you and your family consume a week?
