Shower heads are difficult to clean. The holes can get clogged with mildew, bacteria, or mineral deposits. My idea is a shower head cleaning tool comprised of a concave container (like a saucer or bowl) made up of a flexible material (such as silicone or flexible plastic) with an means of attaching the container to the face of the shower head (such as an elastic band or strap). A sponge (reusable or disposable) that is saturated with cleaning product is inserted in to the concave part of the tool. When attached to the face of the shower head, the tool would provide contact for the sponge with the face of the shower head so that the face of the shower head can soak in the cleaning product. This product could be sold as a combination of the tool and reusable sponge to be used with cleaning product that is sold separately and applied to the sponge by the consumer. Or it could be sold with disposable biodegradable refill sponges that are pre-saturated with the cleaning product. When done using the tool to clean the shower head the remaining cleaning solution in the sponge can be used to clean the rest of the shower. The tool could also be used as a holder for the sponge to keep the hands from coming in to contact with the cleaning solution while cleaning the rest of the shower, or the user could simply remove the sponge and clean the rest of the shower.

What an interesting idea! Thanks for sharing. Great minds think alike. Another CloroxConnects member lane6148 also wants a reusable shower head cleaner. Check out her idea and build on top of your own.

I believe mine is a little different in the sense that the other idea snaps around the shower head and is filled with solution, whereas mine would be a saturated sponge in a cup-like shower head attachment. One of the key features of my idea is that the sponge and the remaining solution could be used to scrub the rest of the tub/shower with the cup being made of a flexible material, like silicone, that can be used as a holder for the sponge while cleaning.
I suppose you could incorporste both ideas by inserting the sponge in to the snap on container with the solution. Then the sponge could be rmoved for cleaning the rest of the shower.

I think combining two ideas together is fabulous! A sponge in the snap on container with the cleaning solution sounds perfect. Thank you for making this idea better!
