    What's Your Idea?:

    Grocery cart handles are a good source for germs and bacteria.  I keep a package of clorox wipes in my purse to wipe the handles clean before I use the cart for shopping.

      Thank you for sharing your tip.  What do you think of a cover for grocery cart handle?  CloroxConnects member JPolyak suggests a cover for the grocery car handles.  Read her idea and let us know what you think!

         I think disposable covers would work well, but if this is something the stores would be expected to provide, I don't think they would want to cover the cost. Also, used disposable covers would probably end up strewn across the parking lot because many customers would not take the time to properly dispose of them.

      At the grocery store I shop at they provide disinfectant wipes for the carts. A trash can is provided to get rid of used wipes. That solves the problem where i shop. Having child in the seat where the handle is ,I believe the child will punture the plastic handle before the grocery trip is over.

         Good point... need to think about how to keep the handle cover from ripping from kids.
