Our Gum Gurus® are often asked if we offer a 100% organic xanthan - the answer is because xanthan gum is an exopolysaccharide from the organism Xanthamonas campestris and is alcohol precipitated to make the finished powdered form - it cannot be manufactured as 100% organic. However, to meet your needs we offer our Ticaxan® Xanthan GMO-Free which can be used in finished products bearing the 95% organic ingredient label. We offer many organic products that can be labeled as 100% organic and we are authorized to operate under the Maryland Department of Agriculture's Organic Certification Program.

Thanks for the information. What is the need is just for natural and not organic? Would there be more products that would fit this category? I know that there are no national standards for natural but what are your thoughts on this?

Bella,
Thanks for the comment. It will depend on the destination of the product. In the United States, xanthan gum is considered all natural. However, in Canada it is not. We offer many products for texture and stabilization that are ceritifed 100% organic. We have many more that meet 95% organic. And still quite a bit more that are all natural depending on your application and desired functions. We consider our products all natural if they are minimally processed and are derived from natural sources. If there is a modification or if an ingredient that we used is not considered all natural of course we then do not consider all natural. I would be happy to continue this discussion if I didn't go into enough detail.
