I often wished I had something to disinfect my silverware at restaurants. Sometimes the utensils just look dirty and I take a napkin with some of the ice water and wipe but I wish I had a food-safe wipe of some sort to clean the silverware. Would be nice to packaged in single use packets I could keep in my purse.

Thank you for sharing a great idea! Let's build up your idea. Do you want some kind of dish-washing detergent on the wipe? Or just a moist wipe that could get rid of apparent residue? Currently I don't think any of dish-washing detergent formulations are safe without rinsing. Of course this is the goal scientists strive to solve! Thank you for your feedback.

I was thinking of just a moist wipe with possibly alcohol to sterilize it and it would dry quickly too. Or some type of food-safe disinfectant that could be on the wipe, not necessarily to wash the silverware but just to clean off visible debris and to kill germs. Maybe saline? Or a baking soda solution? If there were a good food-based solution then it would also leave it safe along with being clean.
