    Title of Your Idea:
    Shaker Bottle for Ranch Dressing
    What's Your Idea?:

We mix and serve our Hidden Valley Ranch dressing from the packets because we like the taste a little better than what you buy in a bottle. We mix it in a bowl then store it in a quart sized canning jar or a generic squeeze bottle. It works OK but can be messy plus you have extra dishes to wash. Undecided I would love to see a shaker bottle that could be used to measure, mix and serve all in one container. I can imagine using a similar concept to the blender bottle (http://www.blenderbottle.com/classic) with a few key differences to make it customized just for Ranch dressing. I have personally used these blender bottles for shakes and dressings and they work great! The wider mouth of the blender bottle is perfectly suited for adding mayo compared to other salad dressing mixers/emulsifiers on the market. Adding measurement marks on the side of the container to show how much mayo and how much milk would eliminate the need for using measuring cups. The Hidden Valley Ranch logo could be on the front so everyone who uses it knows it is Ranch Dressing. I can visualize the top green to match your bottled Ranch. Speaking of green, this would definitely be eco friendly keeping more dressing bottles out of the landfill. The shaker bottle could be available in two sizes: a smaller one for a 1 packet recipe and a larger one for a 2 packet recipe. The spout would need to be a little smaller or maybe more triangular to make it easier to drizzle the dressing onto your salad to avoid accidentally pouring out a big blob. You could sell it next to the packets of Hidden Valley Ranch mix on the grocery store shelf. I think you would sell a lot of them. I know I would buy one. Smile

What a great premium idea!  How often do you mix and serve Hidden Valley Ranch dressing?  Do you only use the mixed dressing on your salad or do you also use it as a sauce for other food?  What did your friends and family say about your mixed dressing?  Do you have a recipe that you can share with us?  Smile

Ranch dressing is a staple in my family. We don't use the bottled. We mix it for everything. My three kids eat it with everything from salad to veggies to baked potatoes to pizza... they even dip their steak and chicken into it. We mix a new batch every few weeks. We just use the recipe on the back of the packet. (1 C mayo + 1 C milk/buttermilk) Sometimes we add bacon bits or diced jalapenos or taco seasoning for a change of pace.

By the way, we like your idea so much that we marked it as our favorite of the week (see the front page at www.cloroxconnects.com to see it highlighted).

I commented about these before a few months back and even uploaded a pic of the older bottles. I do like the ball better as the round mixer in the older bottles is a pain to clean if you don't have a dishwasher. I have 2 of the older bottles now so one is for regular ranch and I use the other to add dijon mustard in the ranch or extra garlic in it. If and when you decide to make these new mixer bottles(keeping fingers crossed) are they going to be BPA Free?

Please, please, please make them again, so I can make more variations of hidden valley like sometimes I put bacon bits in it, or blue cheese crumbles, grated parmesan with or without extra garlic. Hidden Valley is the ONLY creamy dressing I eat other than ceaser dressing occasionally.
