While visiting relatives over the Holidays, an infomercial about a steam powered cleaning device with disposable pads came on, and 3 housewives in the group raved aout this new product. Claiming that it was an effictive cleaner and sanitizer that does not use harsh chemicals to get the job done.
Could this be a new ReadyMop? Could this be a "Green" ReadyMop?
The business case would still revolve around purchasing of the disposable refill pads, but since no cleaner is present, there is the opportunity to make the pads compostable.
Is this the way to get compostable or biodegradebale disinfecting?
I am unsure of the true efficacy or claims associated with this device, but the group I talked to about it, thought that it worked great and provided a "level of claning/disinfecting" that they associated with wipes and other dicinfecting products. But this device did not contain or leave behind the chemicals that they are concened about coming in contact with food surfaces or kids.

It's the start of a good idea. As it develops, I can help break any bottlenecks that keep it from moving forward. Please let me know if we can help in any way.

Some of the lower cost mops apparently work pretty well too.Reply to this Comment
