I was thinking that you could combine a plunger with flushable cleaning pads/wipes. This way, the bowl gets cleaned as it gets plunged.
I am sorry that I am not a better artist, but the internal and external pads could be connected by a string so that when the cleaning is complete, both can be easily removed and flushed. The extrernal pad is a conical disk shape with a hole in th emiddle for the plunger to go through. The internal pad attaches to the bottom of the handle which would protrude a few inches into to ball of the plunger.

What a wonderful idea! Then you don't really need those toilet cleaning wand. Can you do a quick sketch of this toilet bowl wiping plunger?
We like your idea so much that we marked it as our favorite of the week (see the front page at www.cloroxconnects.com to see it highlighted).

Thank you very much for attaching a rough sketch. My thought is the string might not be strong enough to connect. How about a clip-on piece that could release the pads? What do you think?

That does sound better although I was trying to think of a way to release without having to touch... The clip would be great if it could have a release on the handle... But we would want to keep the released portion flushable as well...

Yes, I think we definitely have to add the release onto the handle... however, not sure if we could get the released portion to be flushable...

I don't think it would have to be very thick. If it were a thin sheet such as the Clorox wipes thickness I don't think it would have a problem. The inner portion would be a little moere difficult though...
