    Car sick...must travel4.0

    Title of Your Idea:
    Car sick...must travel
    What's Your Idea?:

I'm a mother of 3.  2 of which suffer from motion sickness.  I learned early on with my now 13 year old son to have a box of zip lock bag's under the drivers seati in our family car.  When he or my 6 year old are heading out for field trips or social excursions with friends, teachers and parents are forewarned.  My kids head for the bus in the morning with a bag in there back packs (Just in case)  Remember when ziplock came out with sandwich bags that had print designs on them?  Why don't they make a line of baggies that aren't see through.  Do you know how gross and embarassing it is for a kid (or even mother) to have to pull open a bag so there kid can get sick?  People stare.  It happens and there is nothing we can do about it.  So ziplock and glad bags are great for sealing the vomit and tossing it when you find a bathroom...but the clear bags don't help.  If they had a line of colored bags I bet parents would buy them for more than what I'm speaking of.

    Compostable Leaf Bags15.0

    Title of Your Idea:
    Compostable Leaf Bags
    What's Your Idea?:

Package a compostable Leaf bag with a small snap together frame so that you can put the bag over top of the frame, snap in place, push the 4 legs into the ground for support & have a trash bag that stays open while you rake & gather leaves.  Have the legs telescopic & be able to swivel, so that you can also adapt the bag to be held open but laying on the ground.  This way you can "sweep" the leaves into the bag rather than lifting them to insert. After bags are filled they can be place in the trash or used in your yard as compost after they break down.

    Title of Your Idea:
    Travel Fresheners/Deodorizers
    What's Your Idea?:

Similar to dryer sheets but on a larger multi-purpose scale. When traveling, especially on extended stays, clean and dirty clothes start to migrate and interact. I would like to have a deodorizing sheet or bag that can separate these and keep the whole suitcase smelling fresh. I have used a few dryer sheets in the past which helps. When opening the suitcase there is a freshening aroma but that ceases quickly and doesn't separate the clothes.

easier way to access trash can liners4.0

    Title of Your Idea:
easier way to access trash can liners
    What's Your Idea?:

i have been storing extra kitchen trash can liners in the bottom of my can for years. then i came up with a brilliant idea (at least in my mind) to improve the extra bag storage. i purchased two identical plastic kitchen cans. i cut the bottom off of one, made a rectangular opening in the top (formerly the bottom) large enough for the bags to pull through. now when it is time to change the liner, you just have to remove the old bag, and pull up the new one. works like facial tissue boxes. i have not shared this info with another living soul. had considered patenting, but feel good/great about sharing this with you

    What's Your Idea?:

i live in the southeast, near the coast. we used to be over run with palmetto bugs (giant flying cockroach's), fire ants and rattlesnakes. i tried the mothball trick...it is a waste of money. however, i placed kingsford brand charcoal all around the outside perimeter of my house, and along the fence enclosing my backyard. this did not help with the fire ants, however, for some reason, the briquettes have kept my home bug and snake free. i have been using my idea for almost three years...still working. and i only replace with new kingsford annually.

microwave and oven cleaning at the same time.2.0

    Title of Your Idea:
microwave and oven cleaning at the same time.
    What's Your Idea?:

in a 4 cup measuring cup put 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup pine sol ( i chose pine sol because i love that smell) in your microwave let mixture come to a boil and maintain that boil for 10 minutes. paper towels will wipe away any mess in your microwave. using the same (pyrex, as plastic will melt in the oven) add 1/2 cup more water and 1/4 cup pine sol. preheat oven to 300 degrees. boil mixture in microwave for 3 minutes, and place in preheated oven. after 1 hour turn oven off and allow to cool enough to touch. again with paper towels wipe the oven. even the toughest baked on stains will be gone. i love you clorox!

    What's Your Idea?:

to make ordinary salads extraordinary follow these simple steps. if you like croutons you will love these. i use stale baguette bread (but you can use any kind of stale bread you like), cube to desired size, drizzle lightly with olive oil (use any kind you want...i usually go for the cheapest i can find for this...place in a glad storage bag (i use gallon size because i make a lot at a time) and add 1/4 to a full package of dry hidden valley ranch dressing mix (i tried a different kind and was sorely disappointed) and shake well to coat. place on baking sheet trying not to let them touch or be too crowded. bake in oven at 250 degrees until toasted to your taste. if the croutons are crowded and/or even slightly mounded, you will not get the desired effect. most will be soggy and unusable. good luck...it really is easy...and enjoy!

Individually wrapped measured bags of briquette - flamable...54.0
Idea posted May 15, 2013 by OutsideDaBox in my Kingsford® idea > New Ideas public
    Title of Your Idea:
Individually wrapped measured bags of briquette - flamable wrapping
    What's Your Idea?:

I would like to see individual wrapped bags of briquettes, preferablly measured at one pound.  The individaully one pound bags can be sold individually or within a three or six pound bag.

The packaging material of the one pound bags can be paper already doused with a flamable material. This would allow the user to simply set the one pound bag into the grill and safely lit the corners of the bag aflame, without ever having to touch a single briquette.

The one pound measured bags are ideal for small outdoor cookouts, or for a couple, or for those single folks, or for those folks that are presently without an expanded social network.  The individual bags are not messy to the touch, and can be used as a stater or if necessary can be added too later when unsuspecting guests arrive.
