    Bathtub Grime Solution24.0
Idea posted May 6, 2013 by Chamarita in my Clorox® idea > New Ideas public
    Title of Your Idea:
    Bathtub Grime Solution
    What's Your Idea?:
I spent nearly 7 years trying every product on the market (chemical and natural) in an attempt to clean a recurring grime layer that builds up on the floor of my tub. The best solution I found was using a "magic" eraser and A LOT of elbow grease. This was a difficult task, as I have arthritis in both knees. After scouring (no pun intended) some cleaning tip sites, I found a recommendation that surprised me. A user suggested spraying the caked on soil with fume-free oven cleaner, letting it work for a few hours, then wiping it away. (Keep in mind this is the fume-free, not the heavy duty formula with lye.) I was amazed with the results. It literally felt like I hit paydirt (again, no pun intended). Upon doing some research, it appears the degreasing properties of the oven formula did the trick, seemingly emulsifying the grime and only requiring a quick wipe with a scrub brush and rinse. . I tried to duplicate the results with Clorox's new antibacterial degreaser in the orange bottle, but it was not effective on this type of soil. I suggest you try to replicate the fume-free oven cleaner formula and re-brand it as a heavy duty bathroom cleaner. I would also suggest keeping it in aerosol form in order to cover a large surface quickly and effectively.

Allow me, in conjunction with a current major customer, to...3.0
Idea posted May 3, 2013 by Geoff in my S.O.S.® idea > New Ideas public
    Title of Your Idea:
Allow me, in conjunction with a current major customer, to place a large order for your discontinued red and yellow SOS Tuffy, or license me to make it.
    What's Your Idea?:

I want to BUY something from Clorox,...I'm not trying to SELL Clorox anything.

Since last Fall I have been trying unsuccessfully to have someone in SOS Production, Finance, or Marketing contact me regarding the possibility of my manufacturing, under an agreeement you deem acceptable, the red and yellow SOS Tuffy Clorox no longer manufactures.  Alternately, I'd like to place with you a substantial order for this product that you would make for me in a one-time production run.   A third option would be to advise where I might be able to purchase a large quantity of the unused product that mey still exist in a warehouse you know about...... that I can't seem to locate.

So far I have only been able to discuss this concept with Clorox/SOSSales staff.  They seem only to want me to purchase the current blue product that is not the same in quality...and I'm not interested in doing that.

Are you able to have an SOS Product Manager, or someone in one of the above three departments, contact me to discuss with me what I am proposing?   Any assistance you can provide will be appreciated.

    Febreeze scented wipes.
    What's Your Idea?:

One of the things my entire household appreciates is convenience and scents.  As a Mom I'm concerned with germs.   I find myself spraying lysol...wiping things down with clorox wipes, lighting candles or replacing plug in's all the time.  I asked my olded daughter while she was cleaning her white board with a clorox wipe.  What do you think they could do to improve those...her answer...make them smell better.  Makes sense.

    Mini cling wrap package5.0
Idea posted April 24, 2013 by cordnord in my Glad® idea > New Ideas public
    Title of Your Idea:
    Mini cling wrap package
    What's Your Idea?:

I like to make candy specially during the Holiday season and like to wrap individual pieces on cling wrap. Although I have a problem with the regular size of cling wrap. I have been thinking about this for a very long time. I just  hate to have to cut with scissors smaller pieces and just have to fight with those little squares. Most of the time I have to throw most of them away because they stick together and it just to complicted. So to make my job and everyone else's job easier, why can't you make a mini box of cling wrap? What inspired me today to send you this idea is I am working on a project that I will be using cling wrap and my work studies are not to  happy cutting little squares. I took the reg. box of cling wrap home and got my scissors, tape, knife and re-costructed the cling wrap box and the roll of wrap. Cut everything in half and let me tell you it works wonderful. So for every homemaker, craft person, baker, ect. I will guarantee that your product would be appreciated by them. If you would like to see pictures of my little box of Cling Wrap I can send you some. I am so excited about my reconstructed box, it is just what I have been thinking about for many years. The mini box works really well, so easy to cut small squares and hassle free.

Why not a SPRAY PineSol, too?
    What's Your Idea?:

PineSol is water soluble. Therefor It could be packaged as a spray as has been done with Clorox.

Such a spray would be ideal for applying to tile grout.

    Car Wash Wipes5.0

    Title of Your Idea:
    Car Wash Wipes
    What's Your Idea?:

enlightened This is not a new product idea.... It is a re-packaging idea. I use Clorox Clean-up to get the sticky black stuff (tree sap?) off of my car. I have to park under the trees and over time this black build-up clings to my car and just washing the car doesn't get rid of it. One day, when I was cleaning up the inside of my car after a dog transport run, I accidentally swiped the black sap with one of my Clorox Disinfecting Wipes. The black stuff was gone in that spot... just like that! No scrubbing or anything. I got excited about it! I had scrubbed that stuff before until my elbows ached. I ran into the house and got my Clorox Clean-up spray. Sure enough.... easy as pie.... it removed the tree sap with absolutely doing nothing more than wetting it down and rubbing it back off with the wipe! My car looks Brand New!! You could re-package this as an outdoor vehicle or vehicle accessory wash product that removes tree sap. It could be sold as a large kit in stores and as a one-time use product in carwash vending machines. Instead of the smaller Wipes it could be a larger shammie sized or paper-towel sized wipe.  Seriously.... Just try it. It will amaze you, too!

You're on a roll with "foreign" flavors. How...4.0
Idea posted April 22, 2013 by PatriciaC in my Hidden Valley® idea > New Ideas public
    Title of Your Idea:
You're on a roll with "foreign" flavors. How about Hasta la Siesta?
    What's Your Idea?:

Given the large population of Spanish and Puerto Rican/Cuban ethnics in our boiling pot of a country, and the acceptance Spanish food has going (just check out all the Spanish restaurants from East to West Coast, New York to California, Michigan (yes, my son says yes!) to Florida (my Spouse says yes).  Must we just have tabasco?  various hot and smoky paprikas and peppers and call it Spanish.  C'mon Hidden Valley.  You are great at dreaming up a lexicon of Spanish flavors in a few herb packets to start, and maybe more complex sauces later?
